IT & Infrastructure Support Apprentice

DESCRIPTION

Semafone, the leader in PCI DSS Compliance for Contact & Call Centre Solutions, are looking to add an IT & Infrastructure Support Apprentice to our IT team.

In this work based training programme you’ll be working towards becoming a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician.

The Role

You will learn to be responsible for acting as the face and heart of IT for all internal users, taking ownership of Ticket Triaging, Incident management, Service request fulfilment, Asset Management and equipment provisioning. You'll learn to effectively co-ordinate helpdesk tickets and communicate updates between different teams. In this role, you will constantly be learning and engaging with new technologies and deepening your knowledge within an Enterprise environment, gaining more responsibility as you develop and become more familiar with the IT Infrastructure as you participate in innovative projects.

We maintain strict compliance posture, leveraging the latest technology stack to achieve maximum security without compromising functionality.  There is a great opportunity to get exposure to the latest security innovations and align these to the business needs governed under frameworks as ISO 27001, PCI and ITIL.

In order to be suitable for this role, it is key that you love technology but have the discipline to manage a highly secure, compliant environment.

This is a great opportunity to get involved in all elements of IT Service Management including: Networking (SD-WAN, dynamic routing protocols, routers, switches), Security (firewalls, VPNs), Virtual Infrastructure (VMWare, SANs, Filers, Hyper-V), Cloud (AWS, Azure), Business applications (Office 365), Analytics, Contact Centres, AI, Client Management Tools (SCCM, Intune), Service Desk and more providing services to the entire company with international footprint and in alignment with our security team.

Are you eligible?

You can join this programme if you meet the following entry requirements;

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C in any subject
  • GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent) at grades D and above
  • You must not already hold a qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject/field
