Objective of the Role

Reporting to the European Head of Channel, the New Business Sales Associate (NBSA) provides operational and administrative support to the channel account managers. The NBSA will also become an expert in generating, prospecting, and qualifying leads for the Semafone Sales team with a focus on developing and opening up business relationships with Top 1000 enterprise companies and potential new partners. 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

The role will be responsible for

  • Supporting the Pre-sales and Channel Sales teams as and when required
  • Actively prospect for new business and generate opportunities through inbound/outbound initiatives including social networking, email, warm calling and lead sourcing.
  • Ability to work autonomously to explore data resources (websites, databases, online research, social networks) and independently transform inbound/outbound leads into qualified business opportunities.
  • Attend Semafone sponsored events and manage follow up process with generated leads.
  • Working with the marketing department on industry insight and research activities and then independently translating the results into recommendations to the sales team.
  • Manage small to medium sized opportunities that are standard architecture and standard product through to closure, overseen by the appropriate Channel Manager.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Some previous sales experience supporting a new business team
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Good knowledge of Semafone solutions
  • Good knowledge of PCI DSS and contact centre security
  • Technical understanding of databases and CRM systems
  • Presentation skills to small and medium sized groups
  • Customer facing experience
  • Team player and a key contributor to the success of the sales operation.
  • Willingness to learn
  • A good technical aptitude and genuinely interested in technology and call centre security solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be effective in positioning a clear, concise and well-understood message
  • Comfortable working within a fast paced, early-stage environment that requires willingness to learn and apply new concepts and strategies quickly
